It's my birthday soon...I'm going to be seventeen. That means I have one year until I'm gone.
For the longest time I was planning on going to NYC to live by myself...And my best friend would probably come a year or so later...But as I look at it...I realize I can't. It's too expensive for a girl who's not going to college and going to try to make ends meet with no help from anyone. But I have to get away from here, I live in California now...And I have to go somewhere far far away.
I just don't know where. Does anyone have any ideas where a good place for an unskilled teen to live and make it? I know, go to college...Whatever. NO. Please don't tell me I'm stupid for leaving...Don't tell me to stay with my family...And PLEASE don't tell me to go to college. I just want cities..Towns...Whatever. Some place that doesn't close at dusk and offers some possibility at life other than sitting in that little Hell hole forever.

Come to Canada. It's awesome up here. Free health care, hot women, hot men.. Winter isn't that bad at all if you go to the right place, summers are hott.. pretty good.

I like it here in Illinois. If i had to live anywhere else it probably would be canada. I love it up there. But i want a home on a lake miles away from a small town like Chapleau. But untill them, me n my friends are getting an apartment. lol
I've got the same problem, I'm planning to go to NYU, but now it just seems a little out of my reach. When I get older, I'm most likely moving to England, Italy, or France. So one of those places might be good! :]]

hmmm... i would say find a city that's developed, but is still growing. like huntsville alabama. i used to live there. they're gettin new restaurants and stores all the time, so there's plenty of work and the cost of living is pretty low compared to bigger citys.
