I'm in a new relationship at the moment with a guy that I love and we are going to have sex for the first time in this relationship. I cant believe we waited 4 months for this moment but we wanted to make sure that we didnt make it all about sex. Anyway as all of my previous sex relationships failed, how do you make sure your relationship doesnt become dependent on sex. So how often do you have it and how do you know when its right? Cause when he is just on top of me and we are "hot kissing" I want to do it but after our first there has to be a limit on how many times per month. Right?

the amount of times you and your partner have sex is complete up to you. You could have sex fromthe time you get up in the morning till the time you go to sleep if you wanted to! lol :P
If you want a relationship thats not completely based on sex, you should talk openly with your partner about how you feel, it sounds like you both are in love if you waited 4 months to have sex, my boyfriend and i had sex before we even started dating, and would see each other everyday, then when we started going out we wanted to have an open relationship, not all about sex (cuz thats how it started hee hee)
If you're boyfriend respects and loves you enough, he'll understand.

i dont think sex is the reason why it failed. sex happens in a lot of relationships. some fail, some don't. we're teenagers so we're bound to have more than one sexual relationship.

Waiting 4 months does not guarantee that a relationship will be more than sex, it depends on the couple involved in it. Neither does putting a limit on having sex, make the relationship any better. These are very superficial things, if one can't understand the strength of love.
