Odds are, it's still going to hurt a little no matter what you do. That said, lube. LOTS AND LOTS OF LUBE. Try small things first, let him finger it a little bit, try two fingers. Make sure he goes really really slow, and if it hurts too much or you're uncomfortable, stop and try again later.
