I'm a big gay lol. I've had my down days but I think that's the way I am, I'm not going to try and change but if I do then I'll deal with it!
I was just wondering becuse I've read through a few threads and jsut kinda tasted the water, to be gay do you have to want to have sex with a guy? Or can you love a guy, and that makes you gay even though you might not want to have sex with him?
(just so you know, I want love and sex.. not that I'm getting either but that's a different story)
I'm just curious but I think a straight guy can be straight and love a woman without wanting to have sex with her, does that make him straight? or gay? - because he loves her but doesn't want to sleep with her?

(sorry if this has already come up by the way there are a LOT of posts, I didnt read them all!)
No, I don't think you have to want to have sex with another guy to be gay.
And with the straight guy thing, he can love her but not want to have sex, and I'd say he can still be straight.
Some people just aren't that into sex, and don't want to have it. People can just be in love, they can just have sex, or both. It's more of a depends on the situation type of thing.
Naw man. If you're a guy and you just want the sex from another guy and you're not really attracted to men... then.. idk you're just curious or you have a fetish or something?
It's about the general attraction to your own gender. But I aint saying that you can't have sex with guys.

Depends what kind of love you're talking about. But if it's romantic love, that makes you want to have sex. Romantic love is to your libido like a natural disaster is to the religious nutjobs - makes it go crazy. If it's not romantic love, I'm not sure what you're getting at.
compassion?.. romantic love, in my sceptical point of view is a very rare, happy mix of everything.. a fairytale world, which some people are lucky and find... others dont.
there are a lot of loves.. the love u feel for a friend.. what happens when that love grows.. u dont want sex with each other.. what is that kind of love?

I'm jsut trying to brainstorm here
Stop labeling every form of feeling as "love," and maybe you'll find some answers.
i do not need a dictionary link and maybe if you stopped hiding behind oversimplifications you'd get some depth to your perspective and could possibly add something worthwhile to a informal albeit interesting conversation.

I'm not over-simplifying anything. You asked a question, and I'm saying the reason you're not coming up with an answer is because you're calling every emotion (HYPERBOLE) "love," which makes your question unanswerable.
but I'm not saying every emotion is love though.. your entitled to your opinion but yeah.. anyone else?
Oh. My. Fucking. God.
Hyperbole
n. A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect, as in I could sleep for a year or This book weighs a ton.
I wasn't saying you literally are calling every emotion love. I said that to get the point across that you're calling too many of them love. How hard is this to get, honestly?
