Do you guys ever wonder why it was so hard for gays to come out of closet? I'm talking about gay men, admitting that they like the same sex? It all has to do with double standards...

For example:

My girlfriend can go out with her friend and come back and mention to me that she licked beer off of another girl's chest because she was drunk. If I was to tell her I licked anything off of any guy, I'm automatically gay.

In a circle of people playing spin the bottle, 90% of the players can be girls, who will willingly kiss other girls. But the guys of course, will not kiss other guys.

In some bars, topless women are allowed in for free. But if the men don't have anything on their backs, they are not getting in.

At most clubs, women get in for free, no cover charge. Men are charged 5-15$.

Girls can kiss other girls, as "friends". Guy can not kiss other guys for any reason.

Girls can slap each other's asses. Guys can not.

This is just a hint of some double standards that bother me. I am not gay, but I stick up for gay rights and realize now why gay guys had such a hard time coming out of the closet. Lesbien girls of course had no problem admitting that they like each other, as it was accepted and not frowned upon in society.

I see what you're on about, and I wholeheartedly agree. I'm gay, but because I'm a girl society isn't just as hard on us. I agree that men get it hard, and I support their rights that if two men love each other they should be entitled to express that love.
I too dont like the double standards - but its just society, unfortunately

I agree with the double standards.
I'm straight but I don't really care if a guy or girl is gay.
They're still a normal person, and they should be treated the same.
Girls are just "allowed" to kiss and stuff because we live in a male society. Lol that sounds like I'm a feminist.
