If you go through the GED program at your high school and get your diploma through a GED, is that not as good as a diploma that someone gets by actually physically graduating? Someone at the school board was discussing GEDs with us today, and he said that the GED diploma and a graduation diploma are the same thing. Is this true? Does this mean that if one were to get a GED, he/she would not be denied a job that a high school diploma person would not be denied? Would colleges and employers consider a GED individual "not good enough" for their university or company? Is there any difference at all between a GED diploma and a traditional diploma? If so, what are the differences?
A question about GEDs.

If I owned a business I would probably pick someone with a high school diploma over a GED, but after/if one got a college degree I don't think too many people would worry about the GED/diploma differenceinstant message anyone?
:wink:if so just send me a message -
Officially, no.
Realistically, yes there is some discrimination towards the GED but if you get earn a higher degree no one will care. For instance, you might find getting into a good college is hard with a G.E.D., but if you do get in and earn your bachelor's degree, no employer will give two shits about how you graduated high school.[CENTER]"Young King, pay me in gold."

What I was told it does not matter as long as you pass with flying colours on GED test..you can still get in any program

GED. commonly joked as the "good enough" degree.
it really looks better if you have a high school diploma to employers, but a diploma from a place of higher learning obviously supercedes this.
