I went to the dentist and I'm starving but he told me not to eat till the numbness went away. That was an hour ago and it doesn't feel long it's gone down that much. How long does it take for the numbness to go away?
How long does it take for the numbness from the dentist to wear off?

It depends on the drugs and how much they gave you, I lied and said it hurt so the doctor gave me way too much and it lasted about a day and a half.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

When I got mine done, it took about 4 or 5 hours to completely wear off, but I ate anyways.

Took mine about 2-3 hours to completely wear off. It was funny actually, I had a local anesthetic in my gum, and afterwards they gave me mouthwash to rinse around my mouth. Now one side of my mouth as un-movable, so when I tried to rinse it around I just dribbled it out everywhere xD It was hilarious, but embarassing

Takes several hours to wear off. You just have to be careful with your tongue. If you're not wary one can accidentally bite it very hard before noticing or feeling anything.
If the numbness hasn't gone by the next morning, then you can start worrying, and give them a callIf you have nothing to say, say nothing.
