#20
And after much anticipation, the Top 20 is finally opening. With a series that took the same points as Scubs, however it was voted by 3 members (see ranking criteria). On the 20th position, the series...
THE BIG BANG THEORY
(12 points)
The Big Bang Theory is a sitcom that currently runs for 4 seasons (77 episodes), since 2007. A woman who moves into an apartment next door to two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory.
Enjoyable and decent series, but, personally, I can't put it on the same level with other sitcoms, such as Seinfeld or Friends.

The only reason I don't care for The Big Bang Theory is because it has a laugh track."I've never understood ethnic or national pride, because to me pride should be reserved for something you achieve or attain on your own, not something that happens by accident of birth."

laugh tracks suck but I hate the show because of all the repetitive "LOL WE'RE NERDS" jokes. I know it's the basis of the show but it never tries to go anywhere else. -
1 for me = Either Supernatural or Band of Brothers. The World is heading for mutiny, when all we want is unity.
We may rise and fall, but in the end, we'll meet our fate together!

Same opinion here.

Supernatural is already out.
And #19 is coming in a few minutes.

And we go on with a series that I bet DamnImGood is also annoyed by its laugh track. Coincidentally, two of its voters are the same as the Big Bang Theory, placing the two series crosswise in their lists. On #19, the series...
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
(12 points)
How I Met Your Mother is a sitcom that currently runs for 6 seasons (126 episodes), since 2005. As a framing device, the main character, Ted Mosby, in the year 2030 recounts to his son and daughter the events that led to him meeting their mother, which explains the title and allows for a narration in the past tense.
After six seasons, however, Ted has yet to meet his future wife and, as perceived, his story is bigger than the Bible. A mediocre comedy, in my opinion.

THE INBETWEENERS
(13 points)
The Inbetweeners is a sitcom that ran for 3 seasons (18 episodes), from 2008 to 2010. The show follows the life of suburban teenager Will (Simon Bird), and three of his friends at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive.
I have no idea what's happening in the series, so...

Yeah, I gave How I Met Your Mother a chance but it didn't sit right to me for the same reason. Also, I just didn't find it to be all that funny. If it wasn't for Neil Patrick Harris, then I probably wouldn't have laughed at all, and the times I did laugh was few and far between."I've never understood ethnic or national pride, because to me pride should be reserved for something you achieve or attain on your own, not something that happens by accident of birth."
