I went to a public school until my Sophomore year of high school. Then I switched to homeschooling, but it didn't work out for me. So I got my GED. :pNeed help or just want to talk? PM me.

It definitely doesn't work for everyone. Just depends on your personality and how best you learn.
I like having the freedom to work at my own pace, though. Stuff like History and English are easy for me, so I get those done quicker and can spend more time on stuff like Math which gives me more of a headache. I'm also in a co-op group and take a couple of classes at "regular" school, too. -
I would never do well in home school. Don't know why, I just got that feeling.

If you're not used to working on your own, it makes it difficult... -
I did regular high school in 9th grade, refused to go back first semester of 10th grade, went back for 2nd semester, got through 98% of 1st semester of 11th grade before my parents told me I had to either finish my homeschooling or get 3 math credits (which I knew wouldn't happen for a while) so I just finished my homeschooling stuff

I'd have so many distractions being home schooled, but then again there are probably more in regular school with all your friends and stuff around
-
Oh, believe me... distractions abound. I really have to set goals and discipline myself to get them accomplished. Otherwise, I'd get halfway through a math lesson, say "this sucks" and go shoot hoops or something lol

I was homeschooled for a few years (upper elementary and middle) and while it does have certain advantages, being stuck at home with your parents and family all day gets old really fast. The homeschool "clubs" that my mom always dragged me to where horrible...it was a bunch of ultraconservative Christian families who homeschool their kids because the evil public education system will turn them into Charles Darwin-worshipping atheists and teach them to put condoms on bananas (causing them to become rampant sex-addicts and rapists.) Or something like that.
Plus I couldn't get laid as often thanks to not being able to meet new people as much >_> -
