Moving to the US of A for my degree

Hello guys,

I'm planning to take my degree at the US, I'm currently taking Diploma in Computer Science, which ends next month. I'm doing just fine with my CGPA or GPA, by just fine I mean 3.xx out of 4.0.

I'm not from a wealthy family, but they promised that they will pay for my college's fees if the rate is reasonable for them. I'll probably have to work part time in order to cover my life expenses over there.

Any suggestion on which states should I go? Which University should I apply?

I guess it depends on what kind of weather you want to live in, what kind of environment, etc. Just a heads up, out of state students can expect to say anywhere from $25k-$50k a year for tuition, give or take a little. If thats not something thats affordable, I suggest you start looking in to loans, scholarships, and grants that you can get.

Out of that list MIT, Stanford, and Princeton are hard to get in.
University of California--Berkeley, Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon aren't too hard.
You could probably get in the rest without much difficulty, but Georgia Institute of Technology has a very rigorous curriculum.

CMU cost approximately 50k usd a year =(.

I'm afraid that I wont be able to get a job after I graduated if I enrolled to some random university. That's why I have to plan my path carefully. Any suggestion guys?

You take out loans, and you get grants and scholarships.

International Student Loans - International Financial Aid for Students

My suggestion to you is to call the financial aid departments of the schools you're interested in/looking at and talk to them about the loans, grants, and scholarships you'd be able to get.
