It would be awesome if I could hear from people with experience. I was a fat ass before but I dropped 25 pounds over summer break which is great but I still got some stomach flab and wanna turn it into a 6 pack. What are the best exercises, etc?
Best way to get a 6 pack?

A lot of guys I knew did stomach crunches, like 100 before going to bed...DAILY....and don't do pushups...they can reduce your height....do exercises concerning the stomach muscles, ya know. -

It's a myth, lol. I've heard it too much, but yeah. There's no proof, forget it.
Anyway, stomach crunches/sit ups before bed, on a daily basis or w/e. -
Sit ups before bed is a good way to be up all night with acid reflux
-
how many sit ups should I do per day?

until failure is goodGeoffrey

I`m not an expert but I have cut weight for Muay Thai before and ended up with a 6 pack. What I do is 50 sit ups, one minute of planks, and I run a little bit. As long as you eat healthy when you do that you`ll get a 6 pack.Peace, that glorious point in time where everyone stops to reload.

Google these exercises - Leg raises, Planks, Side Planks, Oblique crunches, ab crunches, sit-ups etc.
You also need a low bodyfat % to see the abs to be honest, around 10-11%. If you go on a bodybuilding forum and post a picture of youself you can get an estimate from people who know what theyre talking about. I done that myself and got about 8-10%.
Getting a 6pack isnt going to happen overnight, in a week or a month. its going to take a fair amount of time, just stick at it and eventually it'll develop and you can be proud of your hardworkGet Hench. Get Laid. -

Hey! My friend wants to be a personal trainer and has been doing these exercises she found on pinterest... and they seem to be working-- she's getting some pretty decent abs! I've done these exercises with her and after the first time, my abs were SO sore! Some are pretty difficult (for me anyway), but if you do it every day you'll get better with time.
I can't post links because I don't have a high enough post count, but if you go to google images and search "pinterest fab ab work out" it's the one that comes up that says "10 ways to fab abs"-- it's pink. (Sorry if it seems girly, I hope it's something you'd wanna do)
You may also be able to find some that you may like better upon searching that..
She also does one that you can find by searching "pinterest fitness at home" which includes 30 jumping jacks, 5 push ups, 25 high knees, and more... it's a pretty good little work out!
Hope this helps!
Congrats on losing all the weight and good luck with getting a six pack!
Let me know how these work out for you?
And remember: the best thing to do when you have sore muscles is to continue working out-- inactivity can make it even worse and can cause stiffness. -
eat lots of meat and vegetables. do sit ups with your legs elevated
-
hard work is the easiest way to get six pack.

i have a six pack... I get mine from running, mostly and core workouts before practice.... start running to burn the calories and once your endurance is elevated, then I'd reccomend starting with some core.... you can look up some abdominal exercises on youtube to see how they are performed.
good luck!:) -
hey im only 15 years old and i didnt really have much of a six pack, but a few months ago i started drinking protein shakes and lifting each day and i can tell you im starting to get an 8 pack, probibly took me a couple weeks to actually see my 6 pack with out flexing. all i can say is lift, exercise, run if you have to most importantly eat healthy, no more mcdonalds or candy or anything, once you get on the right track, you can eat junk food every once and a while.

situps aren't good for your lower back. do mason twists, leg raises, plank the shit out of your core, high knees, crunches, sprints.
what is also important is your diet, epspecially to reveal your core. gotta eat right to boost your metabolism to burn the fat away
