Many people are looking to make friends as soon as they start college, and many of them won't be living in dorms. You'll find tons of people in exactly the same boat as you (including not having very much money). You can meet people at parties, or even simply become familiar with people that are in a few of your classes.


Maybe it's different there, but I know very few people who have stayed in dorms, and most that have done it only do it for a year or two before moving out and living in an actual house to finish off their degree.

You were sent to school to learn and not to meet people and do have party with them. You can have college life even without having a dorm.

College is over rated

There are tons of jobs you can't get without post secondary education, and it's also tons of fun.

You only get paid more to pay for the ridiculous debt you get into during college... it's all relative.

Assuming you even find a job that pays what you're expecting.

If there's something you want to do and the only way to do it is to take further education, pay is irrelevant.
