• I want to start going to a therapist because I feel like it will help to talk about my low self-esteem, how I feel about my body, how I feel like I have nothing to offer, etc. But I'm afraid that if I bring it up to my parents, they will think I am blowing it out of proportion and just say that it is normal college woes, especially my father. Or they will wonder why I would be able to talk to a therapist, but not them and they might feel hurt, again, especially my father. What is the best way that I can approach them? Or should I at all, am I just blowing this out of proportion?
