Don't get me wrong, often times there's nothing wrong with putting your emotions into a debate, however logic and rationality has to be there too.
The reason I get "stuck" in debates like this is because I really just can't make any sort of emotional connection with the arguments. I much prefer facts,statistics,some personal experience perhaps, but if it's just based on emotions or opinions without solid facts or evidence behind it, I more or less draw a blank and can't see their side.
One of my flaws I guess.
