This website enables you to mix music in plug-in form. You don't need a specialist controller, either, because the free software works perfectly well just using your mouse. On it you can estimate BPM so you can blend songs seamlessly without needing a PhD in mixing, while parallel waveform displays help you keep in touch with what each track is doing. You can even lock the pitch so it never falls out of tune, and ramping pitch-bend buttons help you subtlly correct mistakes before anyone notices. My daughter Nikky has a keyboard and uses Mixxx just for fun. It's a great fun hobby, and you don't have to be a pro with this easy to download, free software.
What I love about Mixxx is that it supports Stanton, Hercules, Numark and Vestax, so you can just plug in and get hands-on with your music... which if you are an avid YouTuber and make your own vids, this mixer is just absolutely ideal.
You can even plug in a turntable with time-coded vinyl. It's wonderful, because you can also mix and scratch your own digital files. You can speed up your tunes no probs, and any vocals will sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks. Mac people can get Mixxx from their App Store. This is a genuinely GOOD music mixing download, and best of all - it's free. Using MIXXX excellent dsoftware you can scratch, mix and merge tracks with effortless ease. Its outstanding digital output could easily be changed into analogue audio. It surpassed the music sample rates of 24-bit/96kHz resolution being industry standard, totally blowing me away!
Another free audio editor is CNET: Free Audio Editor 2015 Though not as shit hot hot as MIXXX in my opinion, it comes from a trusted source, the 8.6.1. version. Its file size is 7.37 MB which is promising for anyone who wishes to dabble with video editing software and sound on their PC.
Do be careful about downloading from other sites because .exe files, some of them could damage your computer. I like CNET and have had much joy from them in the past.
