Haloween. Family or Friends?

    • Haloween. Family or Friends?

      HI.
One of my friends is having a haloween party its only going to be 5-12 people there and the five people who is guranted to come used to bully me or pick on me when i was younger. We was a friend group and i was always the one they picked on. However its a long time ago now and i am friends with all of them now. I hang out with them at school with other people and stuff, but what if they start to tease me again at the party. I am a much stronger person now, but if all of them atattac me i cant handle it.
Also my hole family is meeting at my aunts cabin this weekend. Its always a lot of fun and i get to see my cusins and just realax.
What should i do? Go to the party, be cool and maybie have a lot of fun(we are going to drink) or drop for my family, maybie miss out on a cool party or a terrible evning of bullying.

Sorry for bad english. BTW i am a 15 year old girl from norway.

Miss your friends cool party and go enjoy with your family members. When your family members are having a party and they are nice to you, then I'd like to go there rather taking the risk of being around friends who bully you. When a lot of friends gather around after a long time, they will remember the past and do the same just for some enjoyment. If you have some fear with respect to you getting bullied again and you are already saying that you cannot handle it, then better don't go. Go and enjoy some time with your cousins and other relatives.
    • Mayank gave good advice; I was going to say much about the same.

Being with family during Haloween is the best as it brings family together. So few young people ever spend time with their families unlike they seemed to do ten years ago. The so-called "friends" who tease and bully you are not friends. Not if they treat you like that. No friend would ever be disrespectful. A good friend, though, they are always welcome to be with my family during seasonal festivals and the like. Friends of mine are so great they they become family anyway. I suggest after Haloween you find yourself another group pf people to socialise with. The ones who have mercilessly teased you are not worth a kick in the pants.

Sometimes the best memories people make, are new ones.
