I hate how my family, who are Muslim, refuse to accept the fact I am atheist. I've explained to them I'm willing to follow some religious practices still until I move out like not eat pork, but they still send me to Islamic lessons. I am not the kind of person who will try to convert people to atheism but will respect others' view and ask if they respect mine. Usually people do when they realize I won't be some wacko trying to save them, but some like my parents, punish me when I mention the possibility of not attending Islamic lessons.
My Family Doesn't Accept My Views

Don't be ashamed of your beliefs/religion. It is what you think or you have a particular faith. I do not think someone should be forced to believe in a God, etc. I am a raised Orthodox Christian. Yet I don't believe some of that crap they teach us. So you can believe what you want and don't worry about anyone. I will say. Be you, be yourself and don't stress over it..!!Joined the forum to chat, no beef unless it's 100% pure. I would like to help anyone solve any issues. I have gone through a lot as well.

You need Jesus in your life. I'd be happy to form a Bible Study to help you!!

That's really a good thought, but it's normal for families not to understand us. I mean it's an usual think. It happens. There's no problem without a solution.
