I think there's a difference between saying "I'd never date a guy that's shorter than me" and "I'd rather not date a guy who's shorter than me". If the right guy came along and was perfect in every other way for you other than height, I'm pretty sure everyone would have no problem dating them. They might not be your first choice, and you might not actively seek them out, but I think it's silly to rule out the possibility of dating them entirely.
