The traditional used surgical hair restoration procedures are- scalp flaps, excision and autografts of hairy scalp from the donor area to receiver area. Among of these, the commonly used technique is micro-grafting, mini-grafting and specific follicular unit transplantation. Minor pedicle flaps and free strip grafts of donor area have been followed for years for the treatment of scalp and eyebrow scars. The process of scalp flaps is limited to few surgeons in the present times.
