I am in Canada to do my masters. It’s been just a few weeks since I came here. I am just beginning to know the place and people here. My roommate is in a small problem now. She had gone to a party the other day. There was drugs at the party and most of her friends were using cocaine and marijuana. But my friend doesn’t take drugs. Cops showed up unexpectedly and have arrested all of them.

My friend has called me for help. She is innocent and had not used drugs. I don’t know what to do help her out. Since I am new in Canada, I really have no idea about the laws here. Should I approach a defence lawyer? What are the legalities of this? What should I do now? I wish to get her out of this because I know that she is innocent.
