My son's tooth have different shape.

Hi, my son is 14 years old. He is suffering from gum infections from past three months. If we cure the infection taking antibiotics he may be free from infection for a week. But he suffer from infection recurrently. Last day we noticed that his tooth is having another shape too. So when we discussed this with our family dentist he told that it will be because of the unhealthy bone. So he suggested a bone graft for the dental implant from a clinic in Lexington. But my child is just 14 years old. Is it possible for him to carry out bone graft? I heard that the complete procedure may take one year. Is that actually correct? Is this treatment result in infection-free gums for my child? Does this treatment have any side effects? Please give genuine replies.
