Sado-masochism.
(It's where you enjoy pain/inflicting pain in a sexual way.)And your very flesh shall be a great poem.

it isnt always where you inflict pain is it? cause i thought that was like more extreme, i was talking more like kinky stuff but not actually painful. ya know like handcuffs or roleplaying or something. why would people actually want to cause pain that would be weird.

That would be BDSM or bondage, which isn't necessarily painful. Masochism and sadism are enjoying and inflicting pain respectively.
Sadism is named after the Marquis de Sade, who wrote erotica about rape, murder and torture. Just a fun fact. And your very flesh shall be a great poem.

Pain like spanking etc. can cause added stimulation and a rush of adrenaline followed with endorphins which feels good to the masochist. The sadist enjoys the position of power. I think as long as the couple is fine with it, it should be branded 'horrible'. It is after all a personal choice...
And as long as nobody is seriously hurt. And your very flesh shall be a great poem.

oh...thanks for enlightening me. And I agree with whoever said it's a personaly choice so we shouldn't term it as terrible automatically, but personally I don't see why what you described would be fun....but to each their own I suppose.

Some people find the power exchange erotic, others enjoy the sensation of pain during sex or even outside of it if done properly by someone they can trust. Do you like being spanked or having your hair pulled or being scratched a bit? Same idea just taken to a higher level.
