Those random boners are caused by an overload of hormones, so your body literally tricks your brain into thinking you're aroused.

Anyway, there is always blood in the penis; just like Coutts said, blood flows through the entire body. When you get an erection, your body pumps way more blood into your penis, much more than when you are flacid, thereby making your penis erected.

And I'm really small when flacid, so when I get an erection mine just goes straight up, right up against my zipper and all that good stuff, and it f*cking HURTS. I have to nudge it down my leg.

mostly being "free" makes it just feel great. But sometimes mine just gets so hard that it hurts no matter what I do. That drives me crazy

i'll agree theres different hardnesses, depending on the moment.
like if you get one in class just sitting there it usually isn't very hard, at least for me.

but if a girl was sitting infront of me, legs spread wide, vagina spread open, i'd be able to lift 100lbs with my erection then xD

It hurts when it gets "stuck." Though... boxers helped A-LOT but then it would "crawl" down my leg which feels awkward especially when in public. So now I wear boxer-briefs which helps to deal with that.

Simply, the answer to your question is no, it does not hurt if it is "free". You can feel it, but its not at all painful. It more like pleasure waiting to happen.

In the pants, it's bent in an uncomfertable way, and can be painful in some cases.

A "free" hard dick (I assume you mean just hanging in the air or w/e) can be aggrivating if it is unattendted to, but not as painful as being bent, in my expierience.

The best comparison for a girl I can think of is if in a shirt a girl's tits were squeezed super hard against their chest, IE if a girl with DD tits was wearing a AA cup bra that did not stretch and was unadjustable.

Hard cocks suck if you can't orgasm, and are worse in pants. It's one of the few disadvantages of being a guy. It is also why I can't fathom why certain guys wear such tight pants. Crazy motherfuckers.
