This question is inspired by a discussion in one of my classes. We were talking about crime, and one of the girls said that she thought that some sex-offenders ought to (and I quote) "have their balls cut off". The lecturer then asked her if one of the boys in class had committed a sex offence, would she still be calling for castration, and she said that she would, and that she'd do it herself if she was asked ! Some of the girls laughed at this, and some of the boys looked a bit uncomfortable !
So my question is : suppose that a boy you knew had committed a sex-offence, and he was sentenced to have surgical castration as a punishment. Suppose also that you were given the opportunity to carry out this punishment, do you think that you could do it, knowing that it would mean that this boy would never get another erection ?
