When you have a child, going without buying yourself an xBox or Wii for example, can be tough. But when your little boy or girl or baby needs clothing and stuff, just seeing them looking so bonny is rewarding that going without things for yourself is not such a hardhip after all.
My old iPod broke. I haven't replaced it. I don't miss my computer games or, been indulging myself in a new outfit. Sure, I dress smartly, but I'm so happy to be guardian to my little boy that sacrificing things for myself really doesn't seem to matter.
He's 8 years old is my George. I take him fishing, or netting tiddlers in the rocky pools. We go shopping together, we play fire engines rescuing Beanie toys off the sofa in an imaginary fire. And george even comes out with me, pillioning on the quad bike. This is just one of the loveliest things in being "Mummy".

Sometimes the best memories people make, are new ones.
