My grand-mother has many health problems. She was suffering from asthma and was put on medication. Recently she has been diagnosed with thyroid problems and that a thyroid gland has formed in her neck. She has been put immediately on synthroid (cytomel t4) to treat the thyroid gland. It was impossible to wait longer coz it could be a risk for her health. I've read about this medication on the net and learnt that
I am a bit worried for her. She doesn't take her medication for asthma everyday but from time to time when she doesn't feel well. Do I need to talk to her about this?? What do you advise me??Although it is not advisable to take two or more medicines all at the same time, special attention must be taken to ensure that you are not combining the medicines found below in your Synthroid intake
- Amphetamines
- Anticoagulants
- Appetite suppressants
- Cholestyramine
- Colestipol
- Medicines for asthma or medicines prescribed for breathing problems
- Medicines intended for colds, sinus problems, or hay fever or other allergies (including nose drops or sprays)
