Natalie, because Carley kind of sounds like a name of some stupid queen bee, brain dead, blond prep, and stuff.
11th grade, because writing stuff about freshmen is too overused, and the topics you can tackle are trivial (fitting in, getting bullied by seniors, not having any friends, getting popular as the story progresses, being friends with the other outcasts, depising the "in" crowd, etc). This can be applied to 12th grade as well. (bullying seniors, being popular, partying, pre-college life/activities, etc). It's cliche.
