Always be friendly to people...i mean that's obvious but it sounds like your trying to get the whole world to be your friend. Don't worry about how popular you are just think about the quality of your relationships, cus that's what's really important. A few good friends and all the 'harmless' jokes (i know what you mean there) aren't a big deal.

It's an offence to sell cigarette lighter refills to anyone under 18. So I guess that includes lighters that are filled up lol. Also the law says it's illegal to sell 'tobacco products' to anyone under 18. Not sure what that includes though.

I think what alex is trying to say is that the girl is more likely to be creeped out because they have been friends for years. He's in the 'friends zone' if you like; and a few complements and 'loving' her isnt gunna get him out... Oh and the reason guys shouldnt take advice off girls is because girls are primarily looking for friendship (in my exp. anyway). No good if you want a gf.

I've only got until the 23rd May till I get out. I don't hate school...but seriously I can think of 1000 better places to be. Things like the pathetic uniform checks and the immaturity of some of the people are just driving me insane. For example, some guy today must of gone out of his way by about 10 meters to shoulder barge me...to prove he's tough or something. WTF? Ah well. Anyone else verging on desperate to get out?

The easiest way to make conversation is to get her to talk about herself. Ask questions building on the answers she gives you. And dont just sit there saying "where do you live?" and "do you have any brothers or sisters?". Recalling facts gets boring after a while so try talking about how things feel etc. It's kinda hard to explain but there you go.
