Did you know her before you guys were set up? A month isn't very long so you might not know her well enough to really know how you feel or what she's truly like. Give it some time, maybe try and get to know her before trying again (if you still want to at that time). You could try getting her back now, but if you get back together it's unlikely things will change unless you talk to her about why you broke up; ask her what was always making her so angry.

Unless you like mouth cancer, I wouldn't do it. I know a guy that's only 16 years old and already missing that little flap of skin between your lip and your gums because of that stuff. Besides that: you need something to spit into, it burns if you swallow it, it looks unattractive, and your teachers probably aren't as stupid as you think they are. If you want to do it that's up to you, but if you want your tobacco fix it'd probably just be better to smoke during your breaks or something.

Artist's block is a good term for it. And drawing something just from your head is one of the hardest things to do, in my opinion. Just like any skill, art is something that gets better with practice. If you think you're only okay, try and develop to the point where you think you're good. The only way you can do this is to try and catch up and stay caught up -- in other words, draw a lot!

I think a big reason people go vegan is because we essentially take everything from animals by force. I'm pretty sure if you're swallowing it's not like you've harvested it against his will. :p

  • Really? I know tons of people with six-packs. Not like super crazy, just there. That's what I find lots of girls seem to like, so I guess just a flat stomach would be appealing as well? It's not the most important thing, anyway.

  • I think it depends on where you live, you'd have to check with your government or police department. Or you could just go try and buy some and see if they ID you. It's nasty stuff, though.

Quote from keepcalm-carryon: “ Many people around me are over-achievers and they get good grades in almost everything. ” You don't need to be an overachiever to get good grades. I was very much like you in high school - a million other commitments on the go, and the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was schoolwork. The most time consuming thing was basketball and the rule was basketball is never an excuse for missing homework (or studying), just as homework is never an excuse for missing…

If you're not showing them off it shouldn't really matter what underwear you wear at what age. They have more uses than just being "sexy". I can't remember how old I was, but I remember a lot of my friends had them before me and were always trying to hide the fact that they had them from their parents. So, my judge of appropriate age would be whatever age you're comfortable with letting your parents see it in the laundry, I guess.

  • Jasmine is right, if you don't want to stay in the relationship and are only going to be pretending, there's no use in just letting it drag out any longer - it's not fair to either of you. I don't know if there's anything you could try to fix in the relationship, but by the sounds of your first post you want to break up with her. What's stopping you? She might not want to be "just friends" at first, but if you give her some time, maybe she'll get over it and come around. I know there's nothing m…

  • This topic is so refreshing. I'm glad you're able to think that way.

  • Quote from BattleForTheSun: “I'll have to agree that people are born gay and have a "gay gene". People could also have "dormant" ones that are triggered by events in ones life, maybe that's the answer to the "why are there more heterosexuals" question.” I'm not sure if it's exactly the same thing, but you could be talking about epigenetics. Which does actually sound like a reasonable theory. I don't really know much about it, we only touched on it very briefly in a psychology class - it's essent…

If you're the one that generally starts conversation, maybe your friends are just used to it. They always expect you to text, or maybe they're like you and just hope it's you that will text them first. But if you don't think they're good friendships, the only thing you can do is try to become better friends with others. My school was very much the same as yours (300 kids, gr 6-12), and my friends and I used to just "hang out" the same way you guys did up until "party age". Not everyone drank, bu…

Our school had an outdoor ed club (we went camping and cross country skiing and stuff like that), a cribbage tournament (not really a club, but...), a jazz band, and lots of intramurals and stuff like that. It really depends on if you want something athletic, outdoorsy, or otherwise. Maybe ultimate frisbee? Or a debate club? If you want to leave a legacy sometimes it's easier to do it through other clubs, like SRC (student rep council, student government, whatever your school has) or yearbook. M…

It might have something to do with your posture. Consciously remind yourself to sit/stand up straight. If you search you'll probably find a ton of guides on correct posture. Back and neck pain isn't really something to ignore, though. If it doesn't get better you should see a doctor!

  • It seems like the big thing in coffee advertising right now is the fact that it's fair-trade, it seems a lot of places are picking up on it and I see the term quite a bit now. I think it's good thing they're doing it and if they keep increasing the percentage of fair trade coffee they purchase, all the better. I make all my coffee at home (Tim Horton's fine grind!) because it'd get way too expensive to actually go out and just buy a cup of it every day. There's only one starbucks in the city tha…

  • Quote from Journal: “ Once again, right after his workout I was referring to. Milk is thick, it doesn't settle that good in your stomach. Also, apples and bananas are fruit and grapes are a fruit to. So the only non-fruit things you mentioned are peanut butter and rice cakes. And rice cakes are bland, peanut butter is fine. Fruit is just the general area you should stick to.” I'm referring to right after, too. Some people can handle it and some people can't - a PB and banana sandwich and choc. m…
