I hope Obama gets it, but I'm afraid the Democrats will pick Clinton as their nominee just because she's the bigger name. I think she's the most likely to lose the national election given how polarising she is.

Oasis is the most overrated band I know, mostly because people who really should know better still think they have more than 2 or 3 songs that don't suck. They were maybe the 6th or 7th best Britpop band at best. Why they're the most popular band from that era is totally beyond me. 'Wonderwall' is complete shit.

Re: Favorite Band?
PostQuote from ch098321: “1. Fall Out Boy [depressed that i cant go to their sydney concert.] 2. The Used 3. AFI 4. My Chemical Romance 5. Panic! At The Disco Those are my favourite bands. I listen to a lot of heavy metal, emo, and techno/electronica too. But those are my 5 favourite bands of all time!” Holy shit, could you get any more mainstream? $10 says those won't be your favourite bands of all time in 5 years.

I don't see why anyone outside the conservative echo chamber would care anyway.

Quote from Kuzntskiy: “Religion itself is a term given to a set of beliefs and practices. Atheism in that context can be catagorised as religion as it a belief too, through opposing to theistic religious beliefs.” Atheism doesn't specifically oppose theistic religious beliefs beyond proposing that theism at it's root is incorrect. It's certainly not a set of beliefs, and there's no practices involved.

Quote from JCpatriots: “Atheism is the belief that there is no God. Religion is a belief (or lack thereof) of a supernatural being (God), therefore why isn't atheism a religion?” I think being a religion generally requires more than a postulation about the absence or non-absence of supernatural forces. Atheism stops at "there is no supernatural force", religions don't. You'll never have a church of Atheism for that reason. Same with Agnosticism.

Quote from Rorei: “Take a few deep breaths... then a chill pill... then a few more deep breaths... then more chill pills... and a few last deep breaths... Okay... Now that you're calm... Getting worked up is not going to help your case. You sound much better if you can present your opinion calmly.” Hey I respect you and I'm not a stereotypical swearing idiot but I'm going to calmly ask you to get fucked!

Quote from robb: “Yes they haven't died out your right and my hypothesis wasn't wrong I wrote: Sorry if i didn't make it clear the post was a bit confusing  And again i will say that i am aware that what i put in that post contradicts some of my previous posts slightly...but my understanding has changed slightly.” Yeah I was kind of backing you up, sorry. Should have made that clear. I'm interested in the reasons for the prevalence of homosexuality in nature and was just thinking aloud…

Quote from Kuzntskiy: “ You just answered the question of this thread and proved the global perception. The 30 year old Americans are as aware as 16 year olds on other advanced countries. If this is the excuse you have, no wonder Americans are famed for being ignorant idiots.” Haha. Don't get so worked up that you can't tell who's being serious. I've never set foot in America. You're not doing yourself any favours by stereotyping Americans so heavily, either way.
