This same thing happened to me. If they're going to be like that, you gotta realize that you're better then that, and they should realize that it's totally their loss, you're still the same person, liking girls and boys doesn't change anything else about you. IMO: Become comfortable with yourself, and find new friends who are comfortable with you. Good luck.

If your friends or family dislike someone in your life, you take that seriously as well. While you can rely on others for advice, try to rely on yourself more. You know deep down who to trust.

Okay, I can see how this would be embarrassing, yes but you have to think "is it really a big deal?" because it is just cake. You're gonna eat it, and it's likely going to taste good. Since your friends are going to be there, it might be embarrassing but you really can't help it. Kinda sucks though.
