Quote from BrunetteHeaded: “I've never been labelled and I'm glad I've not, I'd much rather be myself and if people don't like it... tough shit their problem :)” good point! and btw I know that this thread isn't going to "change the world" or something, but I wanted peoples opinions

Quote from CamTheLamb: “Ya it is really stupid, kids use it as an insult now and label people who aren't emo but just dress scene. Also, I thought emo meant you just have strong emotions. Since when is having emotions bad?” yeah, that's what it used to mean. Then it suddenly became a stereotypical sort of thing for "sad scene kids". Emo is short for emotional, as in ALL emotions, not like some lifeless drone. But I guess people just wanted to change it. Oh, people....

there's a difference between a "nice boy", a "push-over", and a "bad boy". In my mind a push over is just a guy who is almost TOO nice, who never stands up for himself, is kind of bland. I think a bad boy is somebody who does things only for the purpose of getting into trouble, maybe is into drugs, and is kind of a jerk to every one. I think that a nice boy is the perfect mix of the two. A guy who is nice to you, but will joke around too. A guy who takes chances, but not the dangerous or illegal…

Quote from CashMoney: “I think that you're an emo kid that's annoyed of being called an emo.” lol... that seriously made me laugh. I have been called "emo" once in my life, and that was two years ago. I'm more classified as a "smart one"/"band geek"/"weird girl". What I'm sick of is actually ALL labels, but since I have friends who are often called "emos" and think it's the most... trouble-making... of all labels I wanted to get my opinion out. hahaha... me... "emo"... hahahahaha....

Re: Mcr. Emo?
Postyeah, the red and black theme is something I've commonly seen related to more of a gothic crowd.

I definitely agree with you guys. It's either used to make people look bad or it's them trying to be cool. I mean, what ever happened to being labeled normal? Just because you wear dark clothes and like certain music doesn't make you abnormal. ---------- Post added at 10:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 PM ---------- Oh, and people who cut is a totally different story. emo is music, not cutting.

Re: Mcr. Emo?
PostQuote from JR: “really? cuz they sure dress like it ---------- Post added at 08:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:43 AM ---------- _my_chemical_romance.jpg tell me they dont look emo. that guy is fuckin pale as a ghost. and the other guy with the hair covering one of his eyes and red around” haha yeah. they look like it sometimes. The pale-ness was for a "dead" look, which I believe was the theme of that album, and the one with the red eyes... well he's just a little different. But the th…

Oh baby here comes the sound! I took a train outta New Orleans and they shot me full of ephedrine. This is how we like to do it in the murder scene. Can we settle up the score? If you were here I'd never have a fear. So go on live your life. But I miss you more than I did yesterday. You're beautiful! Well I'm a total wreck and almost every day. Like the firing squad or the mess you made. Well don't I look pretty walking down the street. In the best damn dress I own? If you were here I'd never h…

Re: ROCK vs. RAP
PostI say rock. It's got more variation (in my opinion) and it's generally easier to understand!
