  • I think it depends on the context of which I'm speaking. I don't generally say anything about them being an ex unless it's important. Most of my exes are my friends, anyway. It's hard to think of a couple of them as "exes" at all.

  • Quote from Mr. Frazer: “ Im starting to think it's cause my teachers arent as strict as they should be, which sounds like I'm trying to pass the blame. I guess I'm just quite lucky, I get away with things pretty easily and barely have to face the conciquences...” I don't think it's passing the blame at all. I don't know how similar our school systems are but I know in high school here the school division was saying they're trying to work away from "attitude" marks etc. - essentially, it doesn't …

  • If you want to do it and you don't think it will jeopardize the relationship, go for it. She's in another country so even if she doesn't return your feelings it's not like you have to see her every day. It should blow over. And, you'll never know what she thinks unless you say anything. It'll make you feel a lot better - you won't have to hold onto it and let it burden you any more.

I don't mind being alone, but sometimes I'd be nice to have a dog to exercise with me. Too busy though. I'm thinking about volunteering at the SPCA though, they're always looking for help, dogwalkers, etc. What kind of dog do you have?

A good way to start is to build up. I think when I first started running, it was a month or two progression: Run 5 min/Walk 1 min (x4) = 24 minutes Run 7 min/Walk 1 min (x3) = 24 minutes Run 10 min/Walk 1 min (x2) = 22 minutes Run 20 min straight Try to do each one 4 times a week for a week or two at a time. If it's too much you can decrease running time/increase walking time and keep adjusting it in small amounts as you get more in shape. Once you build up to 20 min straight, you can increase m…

  • I used to have an imagination like that when I was younger. Not that I pictured anything specific, I was just a little paranoid and didn't like mirrors in the dark. I just forced myself to deal with it and eventually got over it. While I was trying to sleep I'd sing the chorus of a particular song over and over again in my head with kind of a happy little music video to picture along with it. If you can calm your mind enough, it just becomes habit and you're asleep before you know it. If you thi…

Quote from Jarndyce: “ I can say that it is my opinion that the sky is purple at midday, however just because I hold that opinion doesn't mean I'm entitled to it. If I can provide reasonable support for why I hold that opinion then I have a reason to share it, but I have no intrinsic right to hold it, or to try to share it, or expect other people to respect it simply because it is my opinion. Did that make sense? ” Like artizhay said, there's a difference between fact and opinion, though sometim…

I'm not sure where you'd find short dresses in particular, but if you want a relatively cheap, functional dress there are those ones at American Apparel that have like 15 different ways you can wear them. My friend has a black one and I've borrowed it a couple times, it's great.

Yeah, that's not cool! I don't mind some baggier jeans that sag a little, but skinny jeans are not meant to be worn low. Even people that just wear them a little low, the "butt" of the jeans doesn't cover their butt properly and just makes it look flat and silly. Not that I check out a lot of butts, it's just really noticeable. :p What you saw is way excessive, though!

  • Quote from Bazinga!: “But on another note... I actually think you can do that on windows movie maker (maybe not windows live movie maker) I think it's one of the title options” You can do it in movie maker but without the opacity, I believe. I can't remember though, I haven't used movie maker in a long time. I know the default is red and blocky, I'm sure you can change the red but I'm not sure if it'll fade out like in his picture.

Quote from Frosty: “And if you're gonna eat McDonalds regularly I'm sure they have certain menu items that are better than the others for you. Doesn't mean that reccommending said menu items is good advice for weight loss.” Aye, but you don't eat at McDonald's to lose weight. I understand that grains are not optimal for weight loss but it doesn't excuse the fact that numerous studies have been done on whole vs white, that countless people have lost weight by simply switching to whole grains and …

  • Quote from lcky: “I don't think so at all. I think PETA gets a better rep than they deserve. The celebrities are absolutely crazy for supporting PETA. By supporting PETA you support the ALF and by supporting the ALF you support terrorism. Go read some of Ingrid Newkirk's quotes. She's a looney running a group of loonies. Those celebrities are either ignorantly supporting an organization that lies in their advertising or they are just crazy extremists. PETA claims to be no kill. They take in thos…

Quote from Kevmo7: “for commited couples it would be great” This. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt anyone to get it as a precaution for random hookups, but I'd still only trust someone I know for sure has taken it. Even then, I'd much rather be responsible for birth control myself.

  • Quote from artizhay: “ Hm. That's a digital painting of my girlfriend that I went to VASE (art competition) with. Maybe it's her nose? I dunno. It looks incomplete. I think I could do better now.” I think it was just because at first I was like "Is that rea--- oh woah wait" and had to take a second glance at it. If anything gets me it's the eyes - the outline is pretty blocky and they don't have much in the way of eyelashes (which could help alleviate some of the blockiness), and lack the "shine…
