Burqa ban passes French lower house overwhelmingly - CNN.com BBC News - French MPs vote to ban Islamic full veil in public An across the board ban is way too extreme, I think. I don't see anything wrong with banning husbands from coercing their wives into wearing one, but banning it altogether is absolutely ridiculous. Thoughts/comments?

  • If this is a guy that you really like, I think you should go for it. Head/heart, doesn't matter - I mean, if you feel like the relationship can work, then why not? I hope everything works out for you.

In the line of Brokencyde, I also hate I Set My Friends On Fire, Breathe Carolina and all that other electro/screamo/shit garbage.

  • I'm pretty much the same way. I think preferences change as you get older, it's a pretty normal thing. I think as you continue experiencing things, you'll find something you can really stick to - something you would want to invest your time in. You'll figure it out, don't worry!

Quote from Admiral Ackbar: “Ah right, then stick with the second one :p You can get a lot of eccentric arty designers too, and they might like the first one :p Wedding dress designer would probably be more impressed with the more formal outfit. And hopefully the office work wont be too bad :p I'd say it'll still be a fun place to work.” That would be pretty cool but I don't know if fashion is something I want to pursue in the future. An eccentric designer would probably scoff at my idea of comfo…

My mom's side of the family is exactly the same way. The only time they come over is where they know something is in it for them. A general meeting invitation is usually ignored. To be honest, at this point, I pretty much ignore it. Relatives are relatives - you can't really change that. Understanding them is pretty difficult, I think just accepting them is enough. There isn't anything wrong with not liking them, haha. I learned it's better to just respect them, pay your dues (greetings, etc) an…

Quote from DeaExMachina: “The second is certainly the best business attire. Though I'm not too sure how an internship interview differs from a job interview I'd suggest you practice answering certain questions. "Why should we hire you?", "What is your greatest weakness? _(make it sound something positive like your obsessive compulsive to finishing tasks)_", "What are your hobbies?", "Why do you want this job?", you'll find that these are very common questions in workplace environment and they're…

The fact that you apologized and actually feel bad is what matters. If some people can't accept it, just give them some time - they are probably hurt. Don't worry about it too much, these kind of mistakes happen with everyone.

Thanks you guys, you all are awesome! I'm thinking I will go with the second one then tomorrow! Quote from Scorpio_: “Outfit 2 is very cute. :)” I don't know why but I laughed at the fact that you have precisely 666 posts at the moment.

  • Drink lots of water, I think. It will keep you content/full and you won't consistently pick up junk food to eat. And in that time you can decide what to eat, like trade a bag of chips for fruit or something.

^ Hahahaha, the first one is rather absurd. And thank you so much! Two votes for 2nd, I think I might just go with it.

  • I had a friend who did exactly that, haha. It was a guy she had really liked for a long time. In the honeymoon period of their relationship, I just kind of dealt with it because she was head over heels for him and I took a backseat in her life. Afterwards, however, when the relationship progressed, she and I started talking much more again. She apologized for being like she was at that time, and at that point, I didn't really blame her, because she and her boyfriend have now been together 5 year…

^ My friend also choose that one, I just don't know if it's tooooooo formal, you know? Thank you very much, though!

  • Your boyfriend should make you comfortable around his friends. As for the conversation making, I kind of understand how you feel. Conversations are really hard to start - you just need to start with an easy topic, even a "How are you?" can get it going. Similar interests also should be helpful! If you don't have a problem with being quiet, then just stay quiet I think. Unless, of course, it makes you uncomfortable. Some people are generally quiet, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. What…

I have an interview for an internship for a designer here in Chicago. I don't even know how I got called for the interview because my cousin's mother applied on a whim and I don't really have credentials when it comes to anything in fashion. But since this summer is ridiculously boring and this would be nice experience I'm going to give it a shot. (The internship will probably just be me running around doing errands, I'm assuming, haha - which, though depressing, wouldn't be so bad, I hope) What…

  • I agree with what the others have said. You need to let him know how much it means to you to visit him and how much you want to meet. Also the fact that you don't want to wait another 6 months to see him again - you should let him know that you want to meet him now while you have the chance. I hope everything works out for you.

  • Biology teacher in 9th grade. She just sat and stared at us while we read our books. That's ALL we ever did. Read out of the book. No interesting activities or anything. She was a huge bore.
