This really could be resolved rather simply I think. From a religious perspective: There are acts of God and acts of the Devil. The way I see it, faith healing can work, but I'm with LuklaAdvocate and Scaredycrow on this one, God warrants common sense to be effective too. If you jump off a building onto a bed of spikes expecting an angel to come down and fly you to safety that's not faith, that's suicide. Things come as they are necessary, so the faith to know what to do for the child might have been a better idea, but idk, the intent isn't something that I could see being punished for, they were trying to help her
