  • Quote from Cyndaquil: “Can you please use your jedi mind tricks or lightsaber to help us?” Yes plz. I think this topic was meant to be the second D in D&D but it's turning into the first, and my Lick attack isn't working

  • I got saved and baptized when I was 12, but the actual belief in all of the stuff didn't become all that apparent until I was around 15.

  • Another Brutha-to-Brutha What he said is not true at all xD. Some girls only date black guys. He's just irl trolling you I suppose, or just gloating about his relationship. Why not find a girlfriend, is there anyone you're interested in? You don't have to date just anyone like you said, some relationships are better if you initially like the person

  • It's probably best to just be honest, and tell him you'd rather wait. Hopefully he won't be angry with your or anything, and if he is he's not really a good boyfriend If he cares about you that much, he'll understand Explain to him what you explained here, you didn't really mean to lead him on, and you'd like to wait until you're sure of things.

  • Quote from JCpatriots: “Umm, it was directed at the OP. I didn't care to read all the typical religious debate bullshit that always comes with these threads, because they appear every single week. But the whole "big bang theory making no logical sense" part had me perplexed as to how the insinuation that a big invisible man (how that is a "kindergarden" interpretation of God is beyond me, because that's what God is, correct? No one has ever seen God, right? He's invisible. People look up into th…

  • ^That's true. I always feel though, that even with logic, it all links together pretty simply. The hard part is just getting people to believe it. Even looking up articles and books completely devoting to using logic to disprove God's existence, I see flaws just by reading and digesting the material and applying it to the own ideas I believe. That's a completely different debate though, on the count of the Big Bang: I do think there is another place in which time doesn't function the same, or po…

  • Quote from AlexMason: “The belief that God created the world and all that inhabits it. It was the very first belief before there was any other, because it is the only true belief. It has been proven, but only on the individual level. God proves Himself to those who are willing to accept Him. If He were to prove Himself to the point where doubt is no more then there would be no need for faith. Christianity requires us to put faith in what cannot be proven. If you close your heart to God you will …

  • Just lying down and thinking, it became clear to me what DeaExMachina said: Different realm where there is no time, and that time is a worldly thing to make things progress. I believe God is in the other realm, that's another debate though.

  • I know exactly how you feel. I've been going through it for around 4 years. The big thing with me is that my depression is triggered most of the time by social anxiety, and other times for no reason, and the anxiety is something that I've only recently started to get out of. Do you have any kind of IM? We should talk sometime

This really could be resolved rather simply I think. From a religious perspective: There are acts of God and acts of the Devil. Acts of God cannot be avoided, not by faith healing, prayer, anything as far as I know. They'll happen, that's why you can't pray that you'll live forever and stuff like that, they won't be granted because they have to happen. Acts of the Devil can though, angry actions, negativity, you choose what you say and do, and actions have reactions. The judgment of whether or n…

The way I see it, faith healing can work, but I'm with LuklaAdvocate and Scaredycrow on this one, God warrants common sense to be effective too. If you jump off a building onto a bed of spikes expecting an angel to come down and fly you to safety that's not faith, that's suicide. Things come as they are necessary, so the faith to know what to do for the child might have been a better idea, but idk, the intent isn't something that I could see being punished for, they were trying to help her

  • I only really them in the trailer parks in Alabama at least, and if they're in association-run neighborhoods they usually make them take them down, so I'd *assume* prejudice. I've never seen a black guy wearing one either. The War for Southern Independence is oldddd news, personally I think the pride aspect is played out, but idk.
