[ame='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egu8fDL3cw0']YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.[/ame] I know... the whole "conspiracy show" thing is lame and a lot of the time unrealistic but I've seen the first half of the 2 hour pilot (its on amctv.com or Rogers On Demand if you have Rogers Digital Cable) and it was extremely character driven. It helps that the characters are pretty damn interesting too. Also, it's on AMC so cinematography is naturally amazing on the eyes.
To be honest, as much as I disagreed with the guy's choice of leaving his family for war, the movie did have a fitting ending. It was completely relative to the overall theme and message of the movie.
Quote from Alejandro: “I didn't think it was that great to be honest. I fell asleep half way through. Just not my type of movie I guess. I enjoyed District 9 more.” District 9 was the best movie of the year. Heavy Sci-fi stuff doesn't get enough appreciation even though District 9 dealt with the discrimination theme in one of the most brilliant and ironic ways i've ever seen. Fuck The Hurt Locker and Avatar, D9 was the shit.
the plot was simple, which was necessary to explore the world they created. a complex mind blowing plot with the beautiful world they created would have been too much. and you have a harry potter sig, so you saying it shouldn't interest anyone over 16 is hardly an insult lol
Quote from TheFunkyBunch: “you do realize avatar had no plot and was nothing more than a huge money grab right? the visuals were amazing but there really wasn't much other than that. it was pocahontas in space.” Yeah, they totally made a move with no plot.
I'm also kind of pissed that it beat the phenomenon that is Avatar in the Academy Awards. The Hurt Locker was really nothing more special than a good blockbuster.
I don't get the huge craze over it. The characters were written pretty good but no where near as great as people make them out to be. The main character was a painfully generic "tough guy". It was a pretty good movie, but Academy Award winning worthy? No.
I usually use Firefox because I'm used to it and a lot of the add-ons are pretty convenient and helpful. I might hope on chrome if I'm just quickly checking or looking something up though.
Quote from leviathan: “if it makes it any better, I had some guy buy me a 6 month XBL sub code. I didn't say ONE WORD WITH THE GUY. He just started gaming with me and then was one day around a month later "Oh hey got a surprise for you" I put it on my main account lololololol” next time send me the code, i'm all out
