  • Thanks Bouziane! Yes it's just like the supposed EU regulations that the tabloid papers in the UK also make up. Such as the EU banning curved bananas or making fishermen wear hair-nets in the name of beurocracy. It's all bullshit designed to make us angry as for some odd reason that boosts paper sales. Getting angry is half the reason people even but tabloids, the other half being the tits on page 3.

  • I hate PC and Health and Safety but then again I also hate equally the stupid lies and rumours that go around about them. Tabloids in the UK just make shit up like kids singing about rainbow sheep and saying chalkboard instead of blackboard... it's utter garbage. Not because it's a silly idea but because it doesn't actually happen. Most of the "PC gone mad" stories I've heard turned out to be Murdoch Empire bullshit manufactured to make us angry about something which wasn't actually happening. B…

  • Not wanting to see muhammad is a stupid superstition. Upsetting people with stupid superstitions can only be good in my eyes.

Ner Rad, I think the fact that you are literally planning on beating your kids before they are even born is enough to conclude that you are a mental case. Can't you wait until sane parenting doesn't work out to start fantasising about hitting their arse with a belt?

Quote from xNerRadx: “I may sound psychotic but fear is the easiest way to control somebody. Look at Hitler, religion, and convicts. If you make your kid afraid to do something bad, are they gonna do it? Usually not. ” There's the issue. The child wont do it for the completely wrong reasons. Parents should teach their kids why it's wrong not just hit them for not knowing any better. Hitting kids is just failed parenting. Humans can reason and therefore don't require pain in order to learn, if a …

  • It should be an opt out system. So that everyone is free to not have their body harvested for organs but those who don't give a shit and wouldn't bother to opt in or out are by default saying yes. With that policy nothing can go wrong, there would be plenty or organs and anyone who for any reason was against it would have had the opportunity to take themselves off the list. In the case of children or disableds it should just be the same, in that the default is yes but the family can opt out. Sim…

  • Compulsory voting doesn't sound sensible to me. There are many people who don't give a toss about politics and don't have the knowledge to make an educated choice on who to vote for. If anything I would say people should have to prove they know what they are voting for before they get the opportunity.

  • Quote from Lachlan: “What are the proposed electoral reforms? Getting rid of FPTP or going to proportional representation? The latter would be fairer for smaller parties imho” I don't know the details. I presume the Liberals probably want a variation of the Single Transferable Vote system.

  • It's so disappointing that a Lib-Lab deal would now make Clegg a hypocrite. It's the only way forward though... The Cons will never allow electoral reforms and that's exactly what the Lib Dems need, if they got that then they could finally have a chance of meaning something in Parliament. From the words of Mandelson especially, Labour have clearly decided to try and woo the Lib Dems with talk of PR. I think the British people are getting a sense that this is the way forward too. It seems like th…

  • Quote from Aleksandr: “You'd enjoy living in the Soviet Union or China.” Neither of those countries had or in china's case have democratic voting systems. So not really. I'm not for atheists either, it's just miles better than the false Christianity that our Prime Ministers usually like to act as if they believed in.

  • Quote from LuklaAdvocate: “That could be said for essentially anything. If your parents raise you Catholic, chances are you'll be Catholic. If your parents raise you Protestant, chances are you'll be Protestant. If your parents raise you agnostic/atheist, chances are you'll be agnostic or atheist. If you're raised in a liberal/democratic family, you'll probably be a democrat. If you're raised in a conservative family, you'll most likely have conservative values. It's nurture. Is it "mind control…

  • Fuck 'im. I would.

  • Quote from dannym2326: “Labour leads; 2 seats to zero.” That statistic is beyond insignificant. I'm hoping the cuntservatives end up short of a majority and brown puts forward a swell deal to the Lib Dems to secure a win. Mandelson and other senior Labour peoples are hinting that FPTP needs to go and that's clearly a wink towards Clegg. I've heard the prospect of Gordon fucking off and putting D Miliband as head, I'd love that to be honest. An openly atheist Prime Minister and a democratic votin…

Quote from xNerRadx: “Do Europeans often go and live in other European countries? I mean like, in the U.S. all states have the same primary language and what not and there isn't so much of a culture shock when you move to another state. I would imagine if you were Irish and you moved to Germany you'd be like... WTF?... I'm just curious on the subject btw. Enlighten me!” In the UK we don't move to other European nations to live very often. Certainly not as much as Americans would move from state …

  • I'd go on as normal. I don't see why a few living corpses crawling around at 0.5mph towards me would affect my daily routine at all, apart from having to carry a stick around to push them over with. which could easily be remedied with a nice stick holder for my belt.

  • Quote from Lachlan: “ But I know people who really do have dyslexia, it's pretty bad. He frequently spells words wrong and to him they actually look correct o.o” That would be a problem with his sight then, if he was really seeing one thing when another was in front of him. A lot of you are saying "I don't se how it could be a myth". Apart from that being a complete non-argument for any debate whatsoever there are plenty of reasons why it could be. Like the inability of parents to accept that th…

  • Quote from Scorpio_: “I was raised Catholic as a child, without my consent. This worried me when I started seriously thinking about it as I grew older. I had no right in the say of what to believe in when I was younger. I was attending church and praying - but did I even know why? I was slowly being turned into a Catholic without me fully understanding it. Well, you could say that as you grow older you can part away, but what if you don't? Not everyone does. I did - today I'm an Agnostic. Howeve…

  • Scenario 2 obviously. Scenario 1 is being a deadbeat multiple dad and scenario 2 is being a regular non-adultering one who actually sees his kids. Option 1 would only appeal to sex obsessed men or guys who had no desire to raise kids, every man wants to have more than one sexual partner but I don't think many would want that enough to destroy the idea of ever bringing up children with one woman.

  • Quote from BadaBing: “So we can get rid of a lot of Science as a lot of it is theory based and English lessons. ” If they are teaching you theories in science then they will/should explain the definition of a theory and not teach it as fact. Scientific theories are not claimed to be fact and are based on evidence anyway. It's incomparable with the idea of begin taught religious "theories". I don't see your point with english lessons. They are about english and don't really delve into facts, theo…
