If you check out these benchmarks: Mac Benchmarks you'll see that the dual-core i7 in the MacBook Pro is beat by the Core i3, i5, and i7 iMacs, which makes since because the latter are desktop processors and the former is a mobile processor. So the iMac is just faster all around.
I've swallowed lots of jizz and while I'd say it tastes "odd" I haven't yet encountered anything that tasted absolutely terrible or disgusting. Maybe I'm just lucky? :o

Doing a complete format and reinstalling Windows is the way to go. It's a good idea to reinstall every six months or so, to keep things going smooth. Use Piriform CCleaner and Defraggler to keep your registry tidy and your disk defragmented. Adding RAM may make the computer seem "faster" but that's only because there's probably a shit ton of unnecessary services and startup items running in the background...and those can gobble up RAM and slow down boot time considerably.
