    For me, a lot of things were surprising. I think the thing that surprised me most was how irregular my periods were in the beginning. I got my first, and then would nit have one the next couple of months, have another one, etc. etc. Eventually around 15 it evened out and I started getting them regularly.

    I got pubic hair starting around 10-11, but didn't get any noticeable armpit hair until I was 14. Maybe I had some before then, but it was so fine and sparse I didn't notice it.
