  • So Damn Awkward

So basically most mornings when I wait for the bus it's just me and this girl in the grade below me. I want to get to know her, but I have no idea what to say to her, seeing as we really don't have anything in common. This kind of thing isn't normally much of a problem, but in this case I'm completely out of ideas. I've even sat and thought about something to say, but I can't think of any common ground. Anyone got any ideas?

kiss. Cause I totally love online strangers.

  • I see. They only just came out over here, and you're lucky to get an 8GB one for under $750.

  • I've been hearing a lot about these things lately, and I really don't get why people love them. I mean, it's...a mobile phone... that plays mp3s, something phones have been doing for ages. However, with only 3Gb of space (or 8), you can't store enough music for it to be useful anyway. People say, 'Oh but it has internet access', which is again something that has been available, to a higher standard, for a long time. I know some people have one because it's stylish or whatever, but when every soc…

Seeing as regular Black Metal bands go around burning churches, I'd form a christian metal band and burn mosques and synagogues. Or maybe I'd just mix stoner with punk rock, and share guitar with someone else tolerable.

PS3 is a safe bet, you'll definitely enjoy that. That said, I'd recommend the drums, just make sure you're prepared to put the effort in. It may not be terribly exiting at first, but if you stick at it you'll find playing drums (especially in a band) is far more fun than playing PS3. Plus this way you've learned a cool skill, as opposed to playing PS3 which doesn't really achieve you anything. However, if you find the drums not to your liking you've wasted a lot of money, so you should make sure…

Thankyou for the reply. The thing is, I WANT to go out and meet new people, I just have no idea where to start. I'm not really shy, but I tend to have trouble making friends with people where there's no obvious common ground.

I suppose the title is pretty explanatory, but I shall elaborate a tad. Pretty much, there's nothing interesting going on in my life. I mean I have friends and I'm popular enough at school, and I play soccer and guitar, but none of it brings much joy to me. I can't think of more than two occasions since the start of the year that I have socialised outside of school (excluding training, rehearsals). At 16, I've never had a girlfriend, but that doesn't worry overly seeing as I've yet to meet someo…

People generally do this kind of thing for a few quick laughs when they don't have anything clever to say. Just ignore it. If these people care so little for your self-esteem you don't want to be friends with them anyway, so why should you care about their opinions. Just don't give them fodder.

    Once, I couldn't find any pants, so I wore my step-sister's. P.S. I'm a man.
