  • It's not the coffee, it's more the coffee shop. They're usually a nice place to chill out, you can order something else if you don't drink coffee. Well if it's girls for lunch too it shouldn't be as bad, it's always a pain though to have one girl with a bunch of blokes because she'll get all the attention and probably love it!

  • You could try changing it to coffee after your lunch. Might be a bit less awkward than bringing a bird with you when you're out with your mates. Bit more personal too, if that's what you're into.

  • What the fuck... You need help. And don't tell her, she'd most likely never talk to you again.

  • Quote from Betty: “yet they are far more ignorant than us now.” I would beg to differ. Christians can, in my opinion, be the most ignorant people imaginable. However I can see where you are coming from. Many teenagers have only recently come to terms with cutting their ties to religion, and are keen to shove it into peoples' faces.

  • Quote from DamnImGood: “I don't make up the terms. Pro-choice means you believe it is the choice of the woman whether to have the abortion or not. Pro-life means you think abortion is murder because you're killing a life.” But the point Sasha was making is that the term itself is a misnomer, almost trying to convince people that pro-choice people are pro-death. And I agree that an unwanted child would have a life, but most likely not one worth talking about. Getting rid of the cells that are rou…

  • So what you're saying is that you like homosexuals and bisexuals just as little as each other, so they much be the same thing? And you like to watch bisexual girls so they're alright? I'm confused by what the troll is saying.

  • To me it seems a lot like she's just telling you about her 'boyfriend' to play hard to get. Ask her about her boyfriend, and if she doesn't have anything to tell you you can probably assume it's safe. If you two are connecting so well I don't see why someone else would be getting in the way. To me it looks like a test, but like Chris said it might be a test to see how much you respect what she says. I'd ask her about her 'boyfriend', and if she gives you something solid, you should respect that.…

  • Well mate, in all honesty I don't think it'll work. I suppose I know a little of how you feel, I have a girlfriend who's moving away and we're probably not going to try. I'm sure you'll find someone else! But if you can see yourself having a life with this girl, go for it. You need extreme patience, but it might work if you have the determination.

  • Here's the deal. My birthday is next Friday (the 13th) and I'm turning 17. By the way, I live in China and study at an international school. This means there are people from all over the world, however people tend to stick with their own nationalities, or at least split up into Western and Asian for social activities. Well over here in my community the normal thing when someone has a party is to invite EVERYONE (who then tell their friends) and whoever shows up, shows up. However, I don't really…

lynx_ - - Debate and Discussions

Look, I'm not going to debate the existance of God and the usefulness of religion. I have done this in numerous threads and everyone knows that my opinion is that religion is a blindingly stupid waste of time. Now that it is established that this is NOT an anti-religion thread, let's move on. I am simply saying that I would hate eternal life. Imagine this scenario: Day one arriving in heaven, you eat a wonderful roast dinner with beef and potatoes. Day two through 2000 you eat the same. You then…

  • This is one thing I truly hate about religion, how people throw their lives away for it. They waste how many hours praying? It adds up. They waste how many hours at church? Again. And look at the people who go all the way and throw their entire lives away. Think Amish people, they give up everything nice in life so they can go to 'Heaven'. Same goes for Mormons, giving up things. And don't try any of that 'it's bad for you anyway' bullshit, if they just didn't drink coffee for their health I wou…

You have the worst luck. What happened to end it between you and Marlon? What happened to him being worth fighting for?

  • The afterlife is a particularly important point for religions. Humans obviously need something to believe happens when they die. So why not try and make something from it for the Church? Tell them it depends on how faithful they are, and that they can be considered more faithful if they pay tithes. Scare them into listening to us! They're only stupid peasants anyway, they'll believe anything. It's easy money! We give them hope for a 'heaven' when they die and they give us cash, and both sides ar…

That's horrible But I'm sure he'll come back? What could possibly have happened to make him decide he's not ready? Wouldn't he have told you earlier? Doesn't seem to make much sense. But whatever it is, there's not much you can do about it I would guess. So you'll just have to keep your chin up and think happy thoughts

Your Word is "Fearless" fearless.jpg You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it! You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing. Sometimes your fearlessness means you're daring. You enjoy risky activities. And sometimes your fearlessness means you're courageous. You're brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary.

I think it's a really good thing for you to post this story. Even though (or perhaps because) this story is so dark, people can see the strength you have to have made it through all your difficulties. I sincerely hope it goes well for you with this Marlon, and with Sarah. I can honestly say that I have never thought of killing myself, but even so what you have told us fills me with hope. And the belief that if you can overcome your problems, I can get over whatever life throws at me. Thanks a lo…
