  • Quote: “ This popular myth, which is referred to as the “European Myth”, was dispelled by the facts of the 2003 European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs and the United States 2003 Monitoring the Future report. ” Quote: “ What was discovered is that in most European countries, young people have higher intoxication rates than in the United States, and less than a quarter had lower or equivalent rates to the United States. Also, a greater percentage of young people in a majority of…

  • Quote from DamnImGood: “It's completely asinine to suggest one is responsible to handle a gun and kill other people in a foreign land more so then having a drink in their own home.” With training, yes, they are far more *capable of handling it than any other 18 year old. It may seem asinine at first but when you look at statistics and soldiers themselves it's not asinine at all. K, I know what you're going to say so I'm editing this. Lowering it will cause more deaths and yes, young people usual…

  • Quote from DamnImGood: “ Keep thinking it's more dangerous to have a drink than going to war.” Look at the way they conducted their studies. They are obviously more flawed and less accurate than the other three sources, which they say the maximum is 150-250k in one source. Technically, it is more dangerous! On Average, it's more dangerous to be in a major city like New York than it is for a U.S. soldier in Iraq. Did you not see the statistic I posted? 85,000 in one year from alcohol re…

  • Quote from LuklaAdvocate: “People are becoming more comfortable with the idea of homosexuality. Eventually, it won't be as big a deal as it is today.” Agreed. Quote: “I'd say a kid would rather have two parents of the same sex compared to being stuck in foster care until they become an adult.” Not always, but most, yeah.

  • Quote from DamnImGood: “I don't see how "knowing what you're signing up for" makes a difference. Many people who drink "know what they're signing up for". Also, you're not making the distinction between drinking and getting hammered. There's a huge difference. ” Alright. Young people do get hammered more than older people. Just saying. Quote: “And your story is meaningless. Big deal. So ONE person you know had a nice day in Iraq. I'm glad that applies to every solider who's there. Sounds like fu…

  • Quote from LuklaAdvocate: “You said, "it would be cheaper to kill them as soon as possible." You're not going to lesson an inmate's time on death row unless you cut back on the appeals process, and you can't do that.” What if we could. I'm not say saying now, but in the next 50 years? What if we get some amazing technology that proves that they did it. It can't be refuted and in that case they should get one appeal. Quote: “There's more to the legal process than technology. No matter how good ou…

I want a mac for my editing needs. My current laptop cost me $500 bucks and is far better when you do a Cost Vs. Benefit analysis. I can't afford the mac, but if I could, I'd be a mac.
