Well, I'm sort of against the whole becoming very close with people online thing, but if you can't really speak to her in class and you don't see her in school aside from in that one class, sending her a PM on FB is a good idea. Ask her how she's been and what she has planned for the Summer. That's not creepy. Just friendly. Also, you could try passing notes in class. It's risky and it's fun - showing you're dedicated to talking to her and having a good time to her. Seems crazy, but it's true.

PostDepends what your beliefs are regarding death, but if you're a Catholic, in a strange way, the timing of your gran and granddad's illnesses hitting so hard and fast is a good thing for them, if not for anyone else. If you believe that they're going to Heaven, then you should find comfort in that they'll both be there together soon, and they won't really have to deal with the years of grief that some people do. Do it any way you want, my man. The way you ask her isn't really important. The small talk might prove to be counter-productive, because she may be uninterested if she thinks you're just going to talk about unimportant stuff and might say she's busy or something. Just text her/send her a message/phone her and say hello. Ask how she is and then ask her to accompany you. Most romantic way to go about it is to show up at her door with a rose or something and then ask her.
