Hello, I used to have mine done but took it out within a few months. The clamps hurt more then the actual piercing for me. The cleaning is Mouthwash with noo alchol in it and warm salt water (it is gross). If it gets infected your screwed because its going to hurt and with so many germs in your mouth I cant imagine it not getting worse rapidly if not treated in time.
