Girls, what do you think about boys that seem nervous while they are asking you out. I have always heard that girls like confidence, and I was wondering if it would be a complete turn-off if a guy seemed nervous while he was talking to you or asking you out. I dont think that nervousness means that a guy has a lack of confidence but I wondering what you girls think about this. Thanks!
Nervous Guys

I honestly think its kind of cute, it makes me feel good when a guy is nervous when asking me out. It makes me feel like I know he's really nervous for the answer, which means he likes me a lot, and really wants to go out with me.

Agreed - it can be kind of endearing. It's kind of like a job interview or anything else, if you aren't a little nervous, something is probably wrong.
Confidence is nice but nervousness wouldn't a turn off. If anything, overconfidence would be! -
A nervous, timid guys is kind of cute. Sometimes over-confidence is infuriating, it's nice to a guy that isn't preoccupied with his own delusions of self-grandeur while talking to you/asking you out.

Allow me to answer you this with the truth. 99 percent of girls do not like a nervous guy. Most girls like a guy with confidence. Now, maybe if you find that 1 percent of girl that likes nervous guys, then I could be wrong. But for the majority of girls, if you have no confidence, that means you'll be home on the weekend with your "five sisters". Tootles. -

Is that 100% true? -
Agree with Linda. I think it's adorable when a guy is shy and awkward Maybe I'm not so common "I don't do damsel well. Distress, I can do.

How did your current/last boyfriend ask you out?

I think you gotta be in between. over-confidence and arrogance can be a turn off. but people with no confidence at all is also a turn off. you gotta have enough confidence to approach a girl, but it's normal if you become nervous.

I don't think being nervous shows lack of confidence. I would like that the guy was nervous but still had the guts to try. Shows that he would really like the girl and everything. But that's just me. Not a turn off at all."Adapt and Overcome"

@Amando: Actually, by the time my last bf got around to asking me out he wasn't too shy anymore But for a good amount of time prior to that (few weeks), his being nervous was cute. Even better, he was willing to admit it. I'm the type who appreciates honesty over anything else, so I loved that he told me. Plus, if it's all open, it just gets easier to move past being nervous."I don't do damsel well. Distress, I can do.

For me it is. This is an opinion question, no true or false really apply here.

Obviously most of that 1 percent hangs out here. :p
jerry said it right. I think overconfidence is more of a turnoff. Simply asking a girl out shows a little confidence in itself, so being nervous about it isn't at all a bad thing! -

That is why you kids are still kids. I've dealt with teens and dealt with women. So cheerios. Tootles. If you smelllll what THE MVP is cooking? -
Being nervous doesn't necessarily mean a guy has no confidence. He DID get the nerve to actually walk up and ask, right? That right there has to count for something. Being nervous is a human trait, after all. Asking someone out is a pretty big thing for a lot of people.

Basically, pursue girls that are mentally like a child, as mentally young as 1.Nice guys talk because they have something to say; pick-up artists talk because they have to say something.

You didn't know, picking up high school girls (and younger) just ain't the same as picking up much older women?
I personally love adult woment that are mentally like high school girls.Nice guys talk because they have something to say; pick-up artists talk because they have to say something. -
It's adorable, I remember this guy asking me out he was WAAAAY over confident, and when I said no he said "your loss" LOL So I rather have a nervous one asking me. My boyfriend has a lot of confident, but when he asked me out he was mush. I liked that.Merav/19 years old/Mumbai/future teacher/chocolate junkie/reading nerd/multicultural biotch

I mean there might be a girl out there that loves guys when their nervous, but the real question is would any of them be willing to say yes? And I don't know that many girls would do that. You're a man in the highest category of Moron.
