Denver Broncos top two RBs injured

    • Denver Broncos top two RBs injured

The Denver Broncos lost their top two running backs in Sunday's opening full-camp practice. They were Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter.Knowshon Moreno twisted awkwardly as he attempted to catch a pass along the sideline in a seven-on-seven drill, then was carted off the field. Moreno couldn't put any weight on his right leg and was aided by two trainers into the team's facility. The fear is that Moreno tore his hamstring, which would sideline him for at least the rest of camp.Shortly afterward, backup Correll Buckhalter walked off the practice field holding his lower back. It's unsure when he'll be able to practice again. And coach Josh McDaniels refused to answer questions about the injuries Sunday night.Without Moreno and Buckhalter, Kolby Smith and Lance Ball will get added carries. Having traded J.J. Arrington last week, the Broncos might reconsider signing free agent Brian Westbrook.

Rubbish. I'm fed up with the annual bullshit about the Raiders improving, Kyle Orton is much better than Jason Campbell.

      2007 Stats:
      Orton: 3 Starts, 53.8% completion, 478 yards, 3 TDs, 2 Interceptions, 73.9 rating
      Campbell: 13 starts, 60.0%, 2,700 yards, 12 TDs, 11 interception, 77.6 rating

      2008 Stats:
      Orton: 15 Starts, 58.5%, 2972 yards, 18 TDs, 12 Interceptions, 79.6 rating
      Campbell: 16 starts, 62.3%, 3245 yards, 13 TDs, 6 interceptions, 84.3 rating

      2009 Stats:
      Orton: 15 starts, 62.1%, 3802 yards, 21 TDs, 12 interceptions, 86.8 rating
      Campbell: 16 starts, 64.5%, 3618 yards, 20 TDs, 15 interceptions, 86.4 rating

They are very similar QBs. Both of them have had their QB ratings go up in each season, as well as their completion %. However, Campbell has been better than Kyle Orton in every single season, with a terrible O-line and NO good WRs in Washington.

So pretty much, Orton has only had one good NFL season. He did that with Brandon Marshall, probably the best WR in the league, and now he doesn't have him anymore.

Not only is Orton not "much better" than Campbell, he's not better at all. You're insane.

Campbell has a stronger arm, but KO8 has a better line, better WRs, better coaching staff and he doesn't throw away games

Kyle Orton had a way better line and arguably one of the best LTs in the game when he's healthy in Ryan Clady, and Campbell still almost out preformed him last season, with nothing.

Who do the Broncos have to throw the ball too that's worth mentioning now? Eddie Royal?

Aside that, when has Orton ever showed promise to win any games of importance? He led them on a disastrous end of the season last year, they choked off a 5-0 start. He might not throw games away, but he sure as hell doesn't win your team games either. He's nothing to be excited about.

Besides, Oakland has a better receiving corpse, one of the better and upcoming tight ends in the NFL in Zach Miller, who is good all around. A guy who can be great in Louis Murphy and a guy in Heyward Bey who has apparently had a great off season. Not to mention he's the type of WR that can blow the top off any secondary which would be scary with Campbell's arm.

Oakland arguably had the best draft out of any team too, while Denver had one of the worst.

Yeah, seriously. Oakland took a LB who will start for them right away in the first round, while Denver took their 3rd string QB. Oakland grabbed two O-Lineman who could have gone in the first round, to protect Campbell. Denver took a WR who is only a vertical threat and has no route running skills at all.

Denver will be seriously lucky to not finish 4th in that division, which is arguably the worst in football.

Dumervil is down for most of the year.

      Oak v Den.

      QB: Denver
      RB: tie
      WR/TE: tie
      OL: Denver
      DL: Oakland
      LB: Oakland
      DB: Denver
      ST: Oakland

But I reject your criticism of our draft.

Thomas: future beast, will probably not start week one.
      Tebow: Ditto.
      Beadles: Starting LG
      Walton: Starting C
      Decker: Starting WR
Cox: ST ace and maybe dime back.
      Thompson: PS bound
Kirlew: Going to have a huge rookie year.

Every pick but Kirlew was expected to go in rounds 1-3.

The Faiders have improved, but so have Denver, wouldn't stun me if San Diego lose this division to us or Oakland, McNeill and Jackson make their offense a lot scarier.

Once again, you can't give yourself the upper hand on the QB position since Orton has done nothing more than Campbell and they're extremely comparable, he's not better.

Oakland has better WRs and a better TE, sorry.

And as far as DBs go, there's not much of a comparison because of of their secondaries suck, Dawkins and Bailey are old and they're not what they use to be.

As far as Oakland or Denver being able to beat us for the division, not going to happen. McNeil will get a new contract but it's not going to hurt us having VJ gone since we're going to have a running game. Malcom Floyd is just as capable, and if Buster Davis stays healthy he can be special.

Aside having the best TE in the game, who's been our number one target from the start, not VJ.

Oakland doesn't though, Zach Miller and Louis Murphy are their most credible targets, DHB sucks, we have Royal, BayBay, Decker and Gaffney all around the level of Louis Murphy. Also we have the #1 best secondary in football, thank you very much, Champ has lost a step, but is still top 10, Goodman is as good as Champ. Dawk hasn't lost a step at all, and Renaldo Hill is our playcaller.

      San Diego 9-7
      Denver 8-8
      Oakland 6-10
      Kansas city 2-14

San Diego 9-7, really? They're going to go 5-1 or 6-0 in the division. How do you figure they only win 3-4 games out of the rest of their schedule? You're fat.

As I said, DHB has come on this off season for Oakland, I didn't credit him for last season because he had no one to throw the ball to him though, now he does.

Not to mention you're insane if you think you have the best secondary in football, that team is going to shreds this season. Also, the Chargers are no where close to being done, do you know how young this team is?
