Yeah, it sucks.
The pill that I am on means I can just skip my period whenever I want. They recommend one period every three months, but that's just so that people don't skip their period for, like, two years or something. -
This happens to me on a weekly basis. My girlfriend hates it. She says I should see a doctor. Should I?

I honestly get so horny before my period, and then I get it and can't do anything about it, most annoying thing ever. I wanted to go on that pill too, so I looked up reviews, and the things people said about it were awful. They said they gained like 30 pounds, their hair fell out, crazy shit like that. I heard some people just skip the period pills, have you tried that?

I skip all the time. And I didn't gain any weight and NONE of my hair fell out.
There are different strengths of the pill, and people react differently to different ones. What you've read sounds mostly like horror stories.
Ask you doctor about it and they will be able to help decide which pill is best for you and how often you can skip. -

I use the ortho evra patch, and I can't say enough great things about it. No need to worry about remembering to take the damn pill, I just have a patch on my back that I change once a week. I have never had any side effects from it at all. -

Ahh my mom used to take that, it seems so convenient! Thats really cool that you don't get any side effects from it, thats exactly what I would want if I were to go on BC.
