Sexting!

    • Let's talk about. Why do you think so many teens sext? I don't understand why teens think sending nude pictures isn't bad. It's defiantly illegal, Its just like porn. Sending one picture can cause so much trouble,Kind of like domino effect. As soon as you press send it will spread like wildfire. It's crazy because a lot of people after sending it say "Oh, i didn't think it would spread so fast" Well imagine how fast you can send a text to someone, In a split second. What do you think about sexting? Do you think it's not that big of a deal? A huge deal? Should it really cause soo much trouble?

no biggie, the sender knows the precautions and likes the thrill. whoever does it should also be prepared to handle the consequences. if you dont want people to see you nude then dont take nude pics. say your significant other loses their phone that means you're fucked. the media outrage is stupid especially for people who just talk dirty, like there weren't phones for that before. as for me i have never sexted because its stupid

I think that it isn't stupid that people sext, Just poor choice. The media does tend to over dramatize things but they have good reason. If your going to sext and you know the consequences then why would you do it? Honestly, i think people really need to wake up and think. I think it's a huge deal that needs to be addressed. That's not what phones are for, if that was what phones were for, then it wouldn't be a problem today.

the problem has been well addressed as is. you can't force people not to be dumbasses, unless you're suggesting there be severe punishment for sending your significant other a photo of your body. im pretty sure the propaganda campaign is well on its way, and that in school the next generation of middle schoolers will be taught not to send each other naked pictures

Phones are for communicating. Why is it anyone elses business what you say/send?

It's not someone's business what you send or say i agree but people make it something when they send it to people and then they send it to people, suddenly its everyone's business.

The problem hasn't been well addressed if people are still doing it. I'm not saying talk about it talk about it and plant it in people's brains because if they honestly don't wanna know then they wont. But it's not an issue that should be ignored when it happens. People are going to make poor choices, that's just people, but by stepping up and saying something before it happens can prevent.

You can't outright say it's illegal. There are many regulations that determine the legality of it, depending on what you do with the picture and how old the sender/recipient are. Of course, if an adult is sending to a minor and vice versa, it's illegal, but otherwise, it's quite a gray area.

Like breakboy said, they know the consequences already. They have been warned and read things such as this thread, and still do it.

I just don't understand people, Why if you know that you could possibly suffer life time consequences, you would do it anyway? I wish so bad that it was fully flat out illegal.

The problem is when kids under 18 start sexting. It is child porn then and ppl can go to jail.

Exactly. Or if your an Adult and you receive a picture of an underage person depending on what you do with the picture, you can become a registered sex offender.

If you're stupid enough to send something to someone who isn't trustful enough to keep it to themselves, then you deserve to have it sent around to everyone.

How can you say that? No one deserves that. People just need to be taught that you just shouldn't send those kinds of things out. People that do send personal pictures to others most of the time trust that person. Then something happens where the person only shows one friends and then it spreads. Or something to that effect.

There is a difference between 'sexting' and child porn.

Yes there's defiantly a difference, but people don't know that under 18 is considered not an adult yet. So your basically distributing child pornography.

You need to be careful because these days over 18 doesn't mean anything. If you receive a picture of a minor (someone under 18) you can become a registered sex offender depending on what you do with that picture, so no it's not fun.

making it illegal won't do a thing. hell i doubt it'd even make a slight change. so many nude photos are circulating already, and of celebrities too. if this is truly an issue that you want to see something done about then think of ways to educate people and make them not want to do it

i can see the tv ads now, "janey was just in middle school when she sent that picture, now every day she cries and her life is ruined"

I don't want people's lives to be ruined because they pressed send. I want to change people's live starting right now, I'm trying to educate people about it today.
