Drug tests aren't "unnecessary". (I'm gonna sound like a major geek here, bear with me; I'm arguing for the sake of the discussion :p) They impair your brain and prevent you from learning properly.
Drug Searches in School

If you want your kids (or yourself) to be educated in schools where they are exposed to drugs, or they arent getting enough support from their teacher because they are trying to keep the kid who is high in line then thats your perogative but i would much rather have my bag/locker/person searched and them 'invade my privacy'.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

First of all I'm for legalization(and Meg, I'm a geek too :p )
Also, Emily, I'd absolutely rather not have my private property searched, no one has the right to without an official warrant, but I wouldn't mind drug urine testing now and then. Drugs aren't a problem at my high school anyway. You're like the drug that I can't stop taking. I want more and I can't stop craving -
To be fair drugs were never a problem at my school but im sure they are in other schools and i think that dealing with children on drugs is far more detrimental in the classroom than searches. Like i've said i would never carry something that would make me embarrassed or whatever if it was found. Differences of opinions i guess[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Personally I wish it wouldn't happen but I think it's fair, being one who's had plenty of time breaking the law you kind of have to accept the reality that schools don't want drugs around and will go to whatever length they can to make sure you don't have them or get busted if you do. To me thinking any different is like trying to mug someone and getting your ass beat and being offended, just doesn't make sense.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If they actually did drug tests at my school instead of just searching for them I would be the only student left. They see me trollin'...they hatin'... Moderatin'...Tryna catch me writin dirty.

Searching a locker is fine with me because as someone said in the first few posts it is the schools property not the students, but searching a students backpack/purse randomly is definitely invading privacy. Now if the school has reason to believe they have some type of drug then that's a different story.
Drug testing I don't agree with.[SIGPIC]http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x405/DarkCandiie/all_you_need_is_love.jpg[/SIGPIC]

Acceptable with only either the principal or vice principal doing the search while the student is present. The high school I'm about to go to had a fire last year from a kid smoking marijuana and throwing it in the trashcan. #Fireton

Yes but only if they have good reason to believe that there may be drugs.

Its a waste of time to me. Drugs are gonna get in the school one way or the other.
Agreeee
Locker searching is fine i guess, but drug test in in high school? wtf. Waste of money and time. -
Yes, absolutely necessary. Because if you don't stop me, I will smokehouse the principal's daughter.

If they doesn't go to the point that it's sexual contact, then it's acceptable for me. If they do, then FUCK NO!Opgekankert, jij!
Sometimes, you gotta put them deuces up. -
Depends. The way I like it is when they bring the dogs through, then search ones that are suspicious.

^ this is just soo freaky. People get so paranoi with drugs

well the Fourth Amendment tells us:The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. was it reasonablehow many roads must a man walk down
