Wrote a poem about my single guy friend/crush.

    • Wrote a poem about my single guy friend/crush.

Before I start let me say that I'm a bi guy and a sophomore in high school.
Matt is 18 and I turned 15 at the end of August.
I simply title it "Matt" because Matt is my friend who I happen to have a crush on. He's 3 years older than me and he graduates high school next June, and I still have 2 years to go before graduation (I'm a sophomore) and I know since he has 8 months before next June I wanna spend a lot of time with him and become close with him--something I couldn't do my freshman year because of his now ex girlfriend.
So since I feel like I'm in love I wrote a poem about him.
      Is it great?

      Matt - Donald Simmons

We're old friends who go way back
      From my freshman year
Now we barely see each other, my day's black
With every day you're gone, my world is unclear

      I miss you
You used to make my day
That's so true; we were attached like glue
You won't care about me when I'm old and gray
And you have a successful life, I'd love to be part of too

You're ex girl's in college, she got her diploma last June
This is your final year, yet I've 2 more
I'm gonna miss you, don't leave me so soon
If you go now, I won't know what to live for

I want to be in this friendship
Like a marriage, two people make it work
You never tell me with a gesture of your lip
About your life, I assume it's perfect, you're a jerk

How can I lose you, do you get me?
You put a smile on my face
I'm your Hepburn, you're my Spencer Tracy
This is an X Files case

Since I want you badly, you're my crush and my boo
I had a fantasy about us, so pleasantly
Since I'd love to lose my wings to you
You looked in my eyes, smiled with such sincerity
I looked into yours, and it was like my heart grew
I felt like we'd be together in prosperity
Yet as we lost our wings inside I knew it too
